Outings

We intend to organise one or two outings each year to places of cultural and historical interest.

During 2009 we visited Chatham Historical Dockyard together with a trip on a Medway Paddle Steamer. We have also had a very successful trip to Leeds Castle, combined with a visit to the annual Tudor Flower Festival.

2010 outings were to ISLE OF WIGHT and Osborne House, and to SALISBURY (Cathedral, Edward Heath’s House, Mompesson House), and the May 17 2011 trip to Dover Castle, organised by Celia Chapman, was well supported and very enjoyable.

For 2012, we have visits to the RNLI Training College at Poole on May 1st,  and to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford on October 16th.  Contact Celia Chapman for details, and please feel free to suggest destinations for future Horsley U3A outings!
