Visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum to see a new exhibition Opera: Passion, Power and Politics

morning departure from Horsley, returning late afternoon
This will be the first exhibition in the new Sainsbury Gallery at the V & A. Estimated cost (depending on numbers) about £48 for the coach, exhibition entry and introductory talk, and coffee and biscuits. There will also be time to explore more of the museum on your own before we return.

In October 2017 we visited Windsor Castle
In May 2016 we visited ARUNDEL for a guided tour of the Castle, followed by free time after lunch to explore the town and Castle gardens.
In April 2015 we visited CANTERBURY, and in October we visited BBC House and the Wallace Collection in central LONDON. Due to popular demand, the trip was repeated in November.
In April 2014 we visited the HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT, and in October we went to BLETCHLEY PARK - see the report on the visit here.
In April 2013 we visited FISHBOURNE Roman Palace and CHICHESTER Cathedral while in October we visited the newly reopened Mary Rose Exhibition and Historic Dockyard in PORTSMOUTH.
For 2012 we visited the RNLI Training College at POOLE in May, and the Ashmolean Museum, OXFORD, in October.
2011 outings were to DOVER CASTLE and BLENHEIM PALACE.
2010 outings were to ISLE OF WIGHT and Osborne House, and to SALISBURY (Cathedral, Edward Heath’s House, Mompesson House).
During 2009 we visited CHATHAM Historical Dockyard together with a trip on a Medway Paddle Steamer. We have also had a very successful trip to LEEDS CASTLE, combined with a visit to the annual Tudor Flower Festival.
