Science & Technology

The Horsley U3A Science & Technology Group was formed in the Autumn of 2011 and has a membership of 15 or so Scientists and Engineers with a variety of interests ranging from plastics technology, medical physics, civil and military engineering, horology, robotics, and the history of science.  The Group held its first formal meeting at the Nomad Theatre in East Horsley in December, 2011.

There are no regular meetings and no formal programme, but we meet when attending Study Days, Outings, and Lectures.  Contact is maintained through this web page and by e-mail (contact: ian.eversden@ntlworld.com).  Liaison has been established with Bookham U3A Science & Technology Group that meets in members homes every second Thursday morning in each month. Some members also attend Guildford U3A Science Forum, which meets in Merrow Village Hall every second Tuesday of the month.
