Some words from out new Chairman, Tony Dinkin:

"I am very pleased to say that after the difficulties caused by the Covid Pandemic, when many of our activities had to be postponed, Horsley u3a is back. Whether you are an existing Member or looking to see what we offer with a view to becoming a Member you will find here a wealth of information about u3a and its activities."

Horsley U3A is a self-help voluntary organisation for people no longer in full time work. Set up in April 2008 to serve East and West Horsley and surrounding districts in Surrey, it provides a wide range of educational, social, creative and leisure interests in a friendly and informal environment for over 700 members.

Horsley U3A holds monthly meetings with invited speakers for its members. Currently 68 specialist Activity Groups cover subjects from Astronomy to Ukulele and Wine Appreciation.

We also organise outings to places of cultural and historical interest, theatre visits and special events such as an Annual Quiz Evening. These are normally open to all Horsley U3A members but are currently on hold until our activities return to normal.

If you do not immediately find what you are looking for, or think you have skills or experience that may be relevant in running u3a or one of its an activities please contact us to see if we can help.  We pride ourselves on our friendliness and openness so please rest assured you will always receive a very warm welcome.

With the Covid 19 restrictions now being eased Monthly Meetings at East Horsley Village Hall are now starting up again, the next meeting is in September. To allow those that cannot attend the meetings in person we are trying to develop 'hybrid' meetings with "Zoom".
